21st Horsens Lang Weekend EMT 2018
Horsens Skakforening invites players to participate in a 7 round individual weekend tournament spanning four days, from Thursday July 12th to Sunday July 15th.
| Location: | Langmarksskolen, Nørrebakken 1, 8700 Horsens. Busses 1, 2 og 10 go from the train station to there (Bakkesvinget), see also www.midttrafik.dk. Parking is free. The venue does not have facilities for disabled access. |
| Accomodation: |
Offered on the school where the tournament is played (Langmarksskolen)
for DKK 50 per night plus a security deposit of DKK 250.
Indicate accommodation preferences at signup.
There are bathing facilities for both men and women.
GM/IM are offered free accomodation (three nights) at Hotel Opus. FM's are
offered free stay at the school (Langmarksskolen).
We have a special rate for the Hotel Opus for participants, which is DKK 1,485 for a single room (3 nights) and DKK 2,085 for a double. An extra night is DKK 595 for a single room and 695 for a double. Indicate at sign-up if you want to take advantage of this offer, and we will make the booking. |
| Playing schedule: | July 12 to July 15. Thursday, Friday and Saturday 10-16 (10AM to 4PM) and 17-23 (5PM to 11PM). Appearance no later than 30 minutes before the start of a round. |
| Signup: | Signup deadline is July 7. Signup may close before that, as we are limited to 150 participants. In that case a waiting list will be created. |
| Tournament form: | A single open group following accelerated (2) FIDE swiss system. The tournament will be Elo rated, if conditions for this are satisfied. |
| Time controls: | 2 hours for 40 moves, then 1 hour + saved up time for the remainder of the game. |
| Entry fee: |
GM/IM/WIM/WGM free, for everyone else DKK 350 (47€). Payment must be
completed 7 days after signup, otherwise you may be removed from the
tournament. For signups later that June 30, payment must be before
July 7. For cancellation before July 10 there is a fee of DKK 50. For
later cancellations the entry fee is forfeit.

| Prizes: | 1st price is DKK 5000 minimum. Rating prices: Players are grouped by rating, with a minimum of DKK 3000 in prizes for each group. Each contestant can win at most one ranking prize. |
